A before and after a root correction on some girdling roots on a Maple tree in Galesburg. Remember, Maple trees (particularly Red Maple "Acer rubrum" can be very vulnerable to girdling roots. It's important to have the root flares examined, especially if the trees were planted too deep such as this tree was.

A woman and her kids trapped in a burning SUV on Tuesday morning were rescued by a group of lawn care workers who happened to be passing by the scene.

It is a sad day around the office today. On Saturday we lost a dear friend and a former Liqui-Green franchise owner. I first met Vaughn when I was 5 months old in my first Liqui-Green franchise meeting and he was the person responsible for making the initial contact with us and pushing us to open our very first Liqui-Green in Eastern Iowa. Since then, Vaughn and I have attended many meetings for our continuing education. Over the years you have truly been an inspiration and teacher to all of us in the industry and I know that God has a wonderful Arborist working with him to take care of all the trees in heaven now. Rest in peace Vaughn.

Too many trees start coming back to life by themselves and we'll have to find a new line of work! We're glad this tree looks to make a full recovery though.

Residents have been left baffled after a 40ft fir tree which was torn out of the ground in Chiddingstone, near Sevenoaks, Kent, in storms just before Christmas, returned to its upright position.
