Due to extreme freezing temperatures, the following Warming Centers are available in Gallia County starting 1-27-2026:

FOR ALL POLICE, FIRE, AND MEDICAL EMERGENCIES, CALL 911!

The Field of Hope Gymnasium located at 11821 State Route 160, Vinton OH
Will be open starting Tuesday January 27, through Friday January 30, 2026 from 8am- 4:30pm

Additional warming centers can be opened if we need too. Please check on your elderly neighbors, family, pets and livestock during these extreme cold temperatures.

We do realize this does not take care of housing people in the evening or night time but that becomes a bigger event requiring additional resources. This at least allows for citizens to find a place to get warmed up from after the colder night time temperatures.

UPDATE : Our climbing teams have successfully finished knocking off all the ice that had accumulated on our backhauls. Service should be restored to normal for all customers. If you are still experiencing issues, please call our Phone Technical Support at 740-446-2975. Normal hours of 9 AM - 7 PM should resume on Tuesday. - Mon. Jan. 26, 3:45 PM

Some of our customers may begin to experience intermittent service due to the ice that is starting to form on our backhaul equipment. If this ice continues to accumulate, more of our network may be affected, and more of our customers may experience this intermittentcy.

We want to take a minute to thank all the linemen and women who are making their way south for this weekend's winter storm. We understand the labor involved, especially during severe weather. We are sending our thoughts and prayers along with you and to your families.

11:00 PM UPDATE: Service should now be restored in this area. If you are still experiencing issues, please contact our Phone Technical Support at 740-446-2975. Hours of operation will begin at 9 AM tomorrow morning.

7:00 PM UPDATE: We still have no current ETA of restoration, however, our team is at the site currently stacking tower and hanging new equipment.

We are currently experiencing issues in our Centenary service area due to a structure fire. Service will be disrupted until this can be contained and equipment can be replaced. No actual ETA is known.
