What a fun evening at Maceo Spice & Import Co.!

For those who may not know, Maceo's is much more than a neighborhood spice shop. The Maceo family has been woven into Galveston's history for generations, and today the store continues that tradition with incredible spices, specialty foods, gourmet gifts, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to linger.

Last night's live music by Perkins' 2 was the perfect addition to the evening. This talented husband-and-wife duo had everyone smiling and enjoying the relaxed, intimate setting. If you haven't experienced one of Maceo's live music nights, I highly recommend it, they're held a couple of times each month and make for a wonderful night out.

Most people think of Galveston and immediately picture the beach or a cruise ship setting sail… but our island has so much more to offer! 🌴✨

Galveston is a vibrant community filled with amazing local businesses, unique experiences, incredible food, live music, art, nature, and events that bring people together.

We recently celebrated the ribbon cutting for Galveston Party Boats at the Galveston Yacht Basin, another exciting addition to our island’s waterfront experiences. 🚤⚓

Then came ArtWalk on The Strand where shops, restaurants, galleries, and live music venues welcomed everyone in for an evening of exploring, connecting, and having fun. A group of us girls enjoyed dinner at Saltwater Grill, and it was the perfect ending to a wonderful island evening. Great food, great friends, and the kind of memories that make Galveston such a special place. 💙

And there is even more to discover here. Galveston has been recognized as a Music Friendly Texas Certified Community, celebrating our growing live music scene and the talented artists who help make this island come alive. 🎶

Nature lovers have plenty to explore as well. Located along the Central Flyway, Galveston is a remarkable destination for birding and wildlife, welcoming amazing migratory birds and showcasing the beauty of our coastal environment. 🐦🌿
