A common question that we get all the time is "What brand of appliances do you recommend?". Our top awnser is always one of the Whirlpool brands which includes Amana, Maytag, Kitchen Aid and Jenn Air. Whirlpool appliances are not problem free however they are generally easier to repair and get parts.

Seeing this pop up a lot lately on my timeline. And I must say these 2 in 1 appliances are incredibly unreliable and will cost you a fortune in repairs. Best to keep things simple. Some of your old appliances lasted 20- 30 years because they were simple and basic. The prettier and more features the quicker it is to break. I’ve not seen a single of of these 2 in 1 washer/dryers that’s done a good job. Very poor drying and you’ll spend 2-3x over what you spent on it fixing it over the 10 year max life it’ll have. Be smart people! Simple traditional appliances are what are the most reliable and longest lasting!

If you are buying an appliance off of Facebook Marketplace or Craig's List always try to see it operate or at least get some sort of guarantee of a refund if it doesn't work or needs a major repair.
