Our patrol unit was dispatched to an alarm activation at a commercial building. Upon arrival, LAPD was present. The business had been broken into and was cleared shortly after.

Rest In Peace, our deepest condolences.

This morning, shortly after 7:30 a.m., a critical workplace incident that occurred in the 1000 block of North Eastern Avenue in East Los Angeles at the Biscailuz Training Facility.

Tragically, there were three Department member fatalities. Sheriff’s homicide detectives are on scene.

The FBI LA, ATF are assisting LASD.

This is still an active seen and further details will be forthcoming.

Rest In Peace Brother

In Memory of Officer Edward "Eddie" Bautista

It is with profound sadness that the Fontana Police Officers Association announces the passing of Officer Edward "Eddie" Bautista, who died on July 10, 2025.

Eddie began his distinguished career with the Fontana Police Department in 2013 and served the city with pride and dedication for over a decade. Much of his service was spent as a devoted K9 handler, where his deep bond with his K9 partners and his unwavering commitment to public safety made a lasting impact on his fellow officers and the community he so passionately protected.

Eddie will be remembered not only for his professionalism and dedication to duty but also for the warmth, positivity, and infectious smile he brought into every room. He was a beloved son, friend, and colleague—someone who uplifted those around him and truly made a difference in the lives of many.

Eddie is survived by his mother, who now faces the unimaginable loss of her only son. We are asking for your support during this heartbreaking time. All donations will go directly toward helping Eddie’s family with funeral expenses and easing the financial burden as they grieve.
