Nearly every pest entering your property is looking for the same three things: food, water, and shelter.

A dripping faucet provides water. Crumbs and pet food provide a meal. Clutter, vegetation, cracks, and gaps provide somewhere to hide.

A professional pest inspection isn't a quick walk around looking for bugs. We're looking for why they're there.

That means checking the foundation and perimeter, cracks and gaps, landscaping, drainage areas, potential nesting sites, moisture conditions, and other places pests may be entering or breeding. Once we understand the source, we can build a treatment plan around the actual problem instead of simply treating what happens to be visible that day.

That's the difference between reacting to pests and managing them long term.

The ants you see are often only the workers. The colony itself may be hidden somewhere else, which is why simply treating the visible trail doesn't always solve the problem.

Plant saucers, clogged gutters, birdbaths, drains, buckets, toys, and low spots in the yard can all collect enough water for mosquitoes to reproduce. In fact, some mosquitoes need only a very small amount of standing water.

Make a habit of walking your yard and emptying anything holding water. It's one of the simplest things you can do to help reduce mosquito activity around your home.

Back from a trip? Your luggage deserves a quick inspection before it gets put away.

Bed bugs are expert hitchhikers and can travel home on luggage, clothing, backpacks, and other belongings. Once inside, they hide in mattress seams, furniture, cracks, and other small spaces where they're difficult to spot.

Bed bugs aren't a cleanliness issue, and catching them early can make treatment much easier. If you notice unexplained bites, dark spots on bedding, shed skins, or other suspicious signs, have the problem inspected before it has time to spread.
