Team Jacksboro,
An update in the ATM theft from Spirit of Texas Bank earlier this week:
There are several crime rings that operate and commit these types of crimes. The M.O. is often to steal a heavy duty pickup and later use a tow chain w/hooks to destroy the ATM. This is most often accomplished in 2-3 minutes.
We appreciate the positive feedback. While we do have several investigative leads to follow, we are requesting the community's assistance. If you have residential/business video surveillance that captures vehicle traffic, please review your surveillance system on Monday, November 30, from 3:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. If you reside in the neighborhood east of Jacksboro Elementary, please pay attention to suspicious pedestrians. We are interested in two (2) males, wearing dark clothing/hoodies. The stolen vehicle was a maroon Ford F250. These criminals operate in teams, so it is highly likely that there was another vehicle close by to pick up the two suspects and cash, if they had been successful. This same vehicle would have been used to pick up the two suspects after both fled on foot into area around North 6th Street.
If you have information to share, please call the Jacksboro Police Department at 940.567.2666. Our case # is 20-00272.
Build the Team.
