Don’t Judge a Battery by Charge Percentage Alone.

Your forklift battery shows a full charge—but it’s not making it through the shift like it used to. What gives?

A full charge doesn’t necessarily mean a battery is delivering the runtime it once did. Shorter runtime can point to battery condition, charging practices, connection issues or simply a battery that’s no longer well matched to the work being asked of it.

Pay attention to changes in runtime. They can tell you more about battery performance than the charge indicator alone.

They Don’t Have to Be Bought Together. They Do Have to Match.

Replacing a forklift battery doesn’t necessarily mean replacing the charger—or vice versa.

But before connecting the two, make sure they’re compatible. Battery voltage, charger output, battery capacity and charging requirements all need to align. An improper match can lead to poor charging performance, overheating, reduced battery life or battery damage.

Replacing just one? Check the specs of both before putting the forklift back in service.
