Lincoln County now under Burn Ban until Further Notice

Responded to a report of a structure fire on State Hwy 54 East, east of Garrett Bridge at 11:41am this morning. Firefighters found the fire mostly extinguished upon arrival by the occupant. Crews finish the extinguishment and overhaul. The circumstances surrounding the fire are still under investigation. Thanks to Dumas Fire Department and Garnett Fire Department for their assistance.

Just returned from a utility pole fire on Hwy 54 in the Tyro area. Resulting in a loss of power while we extinguished the flames. Power has been restored at this time.

Received a call of power lines down on a tractor this morning. Call originated in Lincoln County but ended up being in Desha County. Assisted Dumas with helping the driver off. No damage nor injuries.
