The Genoa-Kingston Fire Protection District is excited to continue offering its Fire/EMS Cadet Program to Genoa-Kingston High School students during the 2026–2027 school year.

The program provides students with firsthand experience and a better understanding of careers in the fire service and emergency medical services. Cadets are mentored by professional firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics through a combination of hands-on training and classroom instruction. Participation in the program is voluntary and unpaid.

To be eligible, applicants must:

Be between 16 and 18 years old
Be a junior or senior at Genoa-Kingston High School during the 2026–2027 school year
Submit a completed application with parental consent

The Cadet Program has been very successful over the past several years, and we are looking forward to welcoming additional students this year.

Interested students should complete the attached application and obtain parental consent. Completed applications may be submitted to:
