Come on Folks We need to Stop This Madness….

BE RESPONSIBLE: 🫵 The Williamson County Sheriff's Office is urging drivers to drink responsibly this holiday weekend and to stay away from the wheel if you've been drinking.

"As we enter this Thanksgiving week, we are especially grateful for the well-being of one of our deputies," the sheriff's office wrote in a Facebook post.

Sunday night, a suspected drunk driver collided with an on duty deputy.

"We are relieved and thankful to share that they are now home recovering — a blessing considering how much more tragic this incident could have been," the post states.

"Please remember to keep our first responders safe by yielding to emergency vehicles: move into the far lane when possible and reduce your speed by at least 20 mph.

"As we head into the Holiday weekend, we urge everyone to make responsible choices. Designate a sober driver or use a rideshare service. Your decisions can save lives.

"Stay safe. Stay responsible."

Effective Today: DPS Suspends Issuance of Certain Commercial Driver Licenses

The Texas Department of Public Safety is suspending the issuance of non-domicile CDLs and all CDLs to non-citizens who are refugees, asylees or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients, as of today, Sept. 29, 2025.

Heads up folks…just 35-40 mins away !!!

On 09/19/2025 at approximately 2:30PM, PEC will be doing an emergency line repair on a line that crosses IH35 just north of 972.

This repair will cause IH35 to be shut down in both directions for about 5-10 minutes.

Please be mindful of this brief closure.

Heads up folks !!!! Seek alternate routes !!!!

I-35 crash update from TxDOT
⚠️All southbound lanes of I-35 will be ⛔closed at Exit 261 from 9 p.m. tonight (Thursday, Sept. 11) through 5 a.m. tomorrow (Friday, Sept. 12). Please avoid the area and look for detour sign during this time.

Repairs are underway for the Hwy. 29/University Avenue bridge over I-35 following last week's bridge strike. On Sunday, crews began repairs on the interior beams that were damaged. The work is anticipated to take four to five weeks to complete. Once complete, the eastbound lanes of Hwy. 29 will reopen.

Additionally, two beams will need to be replaced. The timeline for replacement is not yet determined.

We appreciate your patience as crews work to make repairs. If you'll be traveling through the area, drive carefully, follow traffic controls, and expect delays.
