Last night was a bittersweet moment for your Gerald-Rosebud Firefighters. Chaplain and Association Treasurer Tim Herrera (red shirt near the middle) has officially retired and served his last day with the GRFPD. Tim started as a firefighter out of Rosebud and quickly pivoted to where his skills were best utilized, taking care of our own as a Chaplain, a peer-support team member, and a friend to every member. Tim was a smiling face on Monday meeting nights who had an invisible swear jar to keep everyone minding their manners. Tim, we wish you the best in your future endeavors, and we will be seeing you. Thank you, we will miss you, and enjoy retirement.

🎉 Congratulations to Three Future Firefighters! 🎉

The Gerald-Rosebud Fire Protection District is proud to recognize three outstanding young men who recently attended and successfully completed the Sullivan Junior Fire Academy.

🔥 Gregory Aytes – GRFPD Junior Captain
As our Junior Captain, Gregory continues to demonstrate exceptional leadership, dedication, and a strong passion for the fire service. We are proud of the example he sets and the commitment he brings to our department.

🔥 Chase Patterson – GRFPD Senior Firefighter
Chase represented our department well throughout the academy and continues to expand his knowledge and skills as a former member of our Junior Firefighter program. He recently aged out of our junior program and was voted on as a senior member of our department. We look forward to watching him continue to grow in the fire service.

🔥 Karson Griffith
While Karson is not currently a member of the GRFPD Junior Firefighter program, we were honored to support his participation by providing him with a set of structural firefighting bunker gear. We are proud to invest in young people who are passionate about serving their communities and pursuing a future in the fire service.

Programs like the Sullivan Junior Fire Academy help develop the next generation of firefighters by providing valuable hands-on experience, training, and mentorship. We are incredibly proud of Gregory, Chase, and Karson for taking this step toward their future and representing their communities with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Please join us in congratulating these three young men on their accomplishment! 🚒👏

We had a few inquiries on who we got the restroom trailer from for the picnic this year. We used Mo Restroom Trailers The owner was friendly and easy to work with! And the restroom trailer was fantastic! They were clean and well stocked. The air conditioning was super nice on a hot day! Thank you Logan! We appreciate it.

He also owns Sip On Main in Union! You should check them out!

Thank you to everyone who worked to put on an excellent Gerald Firemen Picnic! It was a great day and a great time! We really appreciate being invited out to perform.

HUGE shoutout to Travis Spradling for filling in for us on drums last night. With less than a month he took on 60 songs for us including learning 6 of our original songs. He killed it on the drums last night, and without him we would have had to cancel the show. It was a blast sharing the stage with him, and he did a phenomenal job!

Also, thank you to everyone who purchased Barely Covered merch last night. It was our first time ever setting up a merch table at a show and we should have been doing it all along. It’s a bummer to not have shirts ready when people are asking for them and it was nice to be able to sell many shirts at the show last night. Thank you to everyone for the support. If you would like a Barely Covered shirt in the future, come see us at a show! Thanks again to BP Printing MO for doing our shirts, we’ll have another order for you this week!

Be sure to check out the band Travis is in Hat Trick on the main stage at the Belle Fair next week on Friday! Hat Trick previously played at the music festival at the White Mule with us and we are extremely excited to play it with them again this year. They are really good and sound great! They’ll also have fire dancers with them during their show. Head out to the Belle Fair and enjoy the show!

Lastly, shoutout and thanks to all the local Firemen who serve our communities. We are lucky to have great people there to help us in times of need! Gerald-Rosebud Fire Protection District
