Here's a first look at the 2026 Light the Night shirt! And we're only 20 more people away from hitting our goal of 100 walkers!

⏰ T-shirt orders are due THIS Friday. You can still register after that, but we can't guarantee your size — though we'll have plenty of extras on hand in all sizes at the event.

🎉 And the news keeps getting better: we've officially raised $61,444 and are the #4 top fundraising team nationally, #1 Community Team, and (once the page updates) #1 fundraiser in Milwaukee!

To everyone who joined us at Matty's Bar, and everyone watching this now: consider yourself part of our team.

We were also honored to have Amy Beres share her story 🎙️ — she lost her mother, who left her father to raise three children on his own at a young age. Amy shared memories of being in middle school, helping out at Light the Night back when participants carried balloons instead of lanterns 🎈, and how incredible it's been to watch the event grow ever since. 💚

🔦 Light the Night is Blood Cancer United's signature walk, honoring and remembering those touched by blood cancer while raising funds for research, treatment, and support services.

What a night. 🦸 Last week, we celebrated the halfway point of Bryan's Executive Challenge journey for Light the Night — and got to do it surrounded by an incredible community.

Huge thanks to the Blood Cancer United team — Kim, Brenda, and Steven — for bringing together such an amazing group of challengers, and to everyone who came out to meet fellow challengers, hear their stories, and celebrate the cause.

A special thank-you to our honored hero, Sophia, for sharing her story with us. Sophia, thank you for showing everyone what bravery looks like — that cape is yours. 💛

Thank you to our vendors who helped make the night special: The Rocks Mobile Catering, and Indigo Photography for capturing every moment. And thank you to Mortenson Construction — especially Brent Arnold and Jeff Gruhn — for hosting us in your beautiful space.

Sophia's story, Bryan's story, and the stories of so many others in that room are proof of what happens when a community comes together to shine a light on blood cancer. This is exactly why we walk. 🕯️

🏆 We're #1 Top Fundraiser in the Milwaukee Light the Night campaign — and just $1,515 away from also taking the #1 Community Team spot. Let's close that gap!
