💚✨ March Monthly Highlight ✨💚

This month our little ones practiced recognizing letters V–Z 🔤, explored numbers 7–9 🔢, and learned shapes like the oval 🥚 and rectangle 🔷 along with the color green 💚. A special highlight was St. Patrick’s Day ☘️, where they enjoyed green-themed foods and festive activities while learning and exploring together.

We celebrated one of our little ones birthday 🎂, a teacher’s birthday 🎉, and a one-year anniversary 💖🌟, making the month extra special! ✨

🦷February Monthly Highlight 🪥

This month our little ones practiced letter recognition and sounds 🔤, explored numbers and counting 🔢, and learned about shapes and colors like hearts ❤️ and purple 💜. Through sensory play, art, and hands-on activities, they strengthened their fine motor, language, and social skills, and we even had a special visit from a dental hygienist 🦷 who taught them the importance of keeping their teeth clean and healthy! 😊

🎉 A Special Milestone 🎉

Today is a very special day for Mama Lucy’s Daycare, and we are excited to share this moment with our families and staff.

While our program has proudly served children and families for over 20+ years, today marks one full year since we officially became a Large Family Child Care program — a major goal we worked hard to achieve and successfully accomplished last year.

In addition to this anniversary, we are extremely proud to announce that Mama Lucy’s Daycare has officially reached Maryland EXCELS Level 5 — the highest quality rating available in the Maryland EXCELS system.

For those who may not be familiar, Maryland EXCELS is the state’s quality rating and improvement system for early childhood programs. It evaluates programs across multiple areas, including:
• Learning environment and curriculum
• Staff qualifications and ongoing professional development
• Child health and safety standards
• Family engagement and program management

Reaching Level 5 reflects the highest level of quality and continuous improvement, and it is something that very few child care providers achieve, as the process is rigorous, detailed, and requires strong documentation, consistency, and commitment over time.

This milestone is not just an achievement for our program — it is a benefit to our families and children, reinforcing that they are part of a program that meets the highest standards in early childhood education in Maryland.

We are incredibly grateful to our families for their trust and partnership, and to our dedicated staff for their hard work, professionalism, and commitment to excellence every single day. This accomplishment is truly a team effort 💕

✨ January 2026 Highlights at Mama Lucy’s! ✨

Happy New Year! 🎊✨ We kicked off 2026 with so much joy, learning, and winter fun! Our little ones discovered the color white 🤍, the triangle 🔺 shape, and the number 5 ✋, while practicing letters O-R through snow-themed activities ❄️, Arctic animal play 🐧🐻‍❄️, art 🎨, and playful winter games.

We also celebrated four little ones’ birthdays 🎂🥳 who turned 1 & 3, filling the classroom with smiles and laughter. What a great start to the year! ✨♥️.

🎄 December Highlights at Mama Lucy’s! 🎄

December was full of learning, creativity, and holiday fun! Our little explorers practiced colors, shapes, letters, and numbers ❤️⭐✏️4️⃣, baked cookies 🍪, built gingerbread houses 🏠, made festive crafts, and decorated our Christmas tree 🎄.

We also celebrated ugly Christmas sweater day ✨, PJ Day 🛌, a little ones 2nd birthday 🎉🎂, and took time to honor and celebrate the birthdays of two of our wonderful staff members 🎈—their special day brought extra joy to our classroom community.

Ending the year with smiles, learning, and holiday cheer, we wish all our families a happy holiday season and a wonderful New Year! 🎆🎄

🍁 November Monthly Highlights 🍁

This month was full of fun, learning, and fall excitement! Our little explorers 💚 explored the color green, practiced squares▫️, counted 3️⃣, and learned the letters H, I, and K ✏️📚. We welcomed the season with fun Thanksgiving activities 🦃🥧, made creative crafts, expressed our gratitude, and enjoyed a special Thanksgiving lunch. We also celebrated a sweet birthday 🎂🎉 for our little explorer who turned 1!

November was filled with laughter, creativity, and so many smiles 😄🎉, and we are so proud of all the milestones our explorers achieved this month! 🌟

👻🕸️October Monthly Highlights🌟🎃
October was such an exciting month at Mama Lucy’s Daycare! Our little learners explored the letters G and E, practiced the number 2, learned about the color orange 🎃, and identified the circle shape through fun interactive activities. ✂️📓

We also celebrated a very special birthday — one of our little ones turned ONE, and the kids were so excited to sing, cheer, and share in his big milestone! 🎉🎂💛

We wrapped up the month with trick-or-treating in the neighborhood and making our own pumpkins! 🏘️🖌️🎨 The little ones had a blast dressing up, collecting treats, and making sweet memories together. Our hearts are full after such a fun and unforgettable month with our little ones!✨🧡✏️

🍂🍁 September Monthly Highlights 🤎

We welcomed the fall season with excitement and so much learning! 💕To start off the month we celebrated Ms. Fatima’s birthday 🎂 🎉 with big smiles, happy songs, and lots of fun!

This month, our little ones explored letters A–D 🔠and practiced numbers 1–3, building early literacy and math skills through songs, tracing, and hands-on play. They also strengthened their visual recognition by identifying the colors blue and green during fun art and sensory activities. 🎨💙💚 Learning about the triangle and heart helped boost shape recognition and fine motor development through creative crafts and playful exploration. 🔺❤️

September brought curiosity, growth, and lots of autumn magic! 🍎✨

August was bursting with learning as our kiddos explored numbers 0, 1, 6, and 7 through fun counting activities 🔢✨. They experimented with bright colors like purple, yellow, and orange in art and play 🎨🌼. We practiced recognizing rectangles, circles, and ovals, and connected the letter A to everyday words and sounds 📚🍎. It was a month full of bright discoveries and growing confidence in every activity! 💜🧡💛

July was bursting with fun and discovery! Our kiddos explored the numbers 2-5✨ , learned about colors ❤️🤎💚💗, and identified shapes ⭐️💖⭕️ during hands-on sensory play and creative crafts ✂️. They had a blast camping in a tent ⛺️ and splashing during water play 💦. Every activity helped strengthen curiosity, creativity, and teamwork 🤝. To top it all off, we celebrated Ms. Marina’s and Ms. Lucy’s birthdays 🎂🎉😊 - making July a joyful month full of smiles and learning! 💖
