De Vor Communications is celebrating 10 years in business. A full decade of growth, challenges, lessons, and moments that stretched me in ways I never expected. I’ve learned from clients, collaborators, employees, mentors, and the incredible network of people who have shaped this journey.
But over the past few years, I’ve learned something far more profound than anything about entrepreneurship. I discovered my "why".
That clarity came when I stepped into leading the Northwoods Honor Flight Benefit. Through that work, I finally understood something I should have known all along: The only reason I have the freedom to own a business, the freedom to build, create, and dream, is because of our veterans.
Their service made my opportunities possible. Their sacrifices built the foundation that allows all of us to pursue our passions.
And posting this on Memorial Day is intentional. Today isn’t about sales, barbecues, or long weekends. It’s about honoring the men and women who gave everything! Those who never made it home. Their legacy is the reason we wake up each day with choices, freedoms, and futures.
So, as I celebrate 10 years in business, I do so with deep gratitude. Gratitude for the people who believed in me. Gratitude for the community that surrounds me. And above all, gratitude for the heroes who made this possible.
As I look toward the next decade, I’m reminded that the values our veterans lived by, Honor, Integrity, and Service are the same values I strive to uphold in every project, every partnership, and every commitment we make. These principles are the backbone of De Vor Communications and the reason our clients trust us to stand beside them, because we’re a trusted partner.
Here’s to 10 years. Here’s to the freedoms that make it possible. And here’s to honoring those who gave everything so we could build something meaningful.
