I was talking with a potential client last week and she asked me, "what makes you different from any other coach or consultant?"
What a great question. Of course, I then asked her several questions to find out where that was coming from, but it wasn't lost on me that sometimes we need to be forced into spelling out our specific value or differentiating factor(s) just to make sure we're still on the same page as when we started the journey. Has anything changed? Are we practicing what we preach?
It's not enough to have great "programs" and "material", much of which can be found online or in any number of books. I realized that our differentiating factor after two years is the way we treat people and often times, it's the way we structure our compensation to match their needs--not ours.
We believe we can help, but those are the same words any consultant or coach would say. So, we go one step further and often times structure our agreements to pay commensurate compensation for value delivered, versus promised.
It's just one way we strive to put our clients first.
