“Apartment’s Tenant’s solution for anti-flood device while smoking”
We were called by an apartment owner to replace (4) Residential Pendent Sprinkler’s. He also used sheetrock mud to seal off all of the smoke detectors.
Apparently the Dope Smoking Tenant wanted to smoke in his apartment without setting off the fire sprinklers & alarms.
Guess he watched too many movies.
People! Smoke does Not set off fire sprinklers! Only Heat activates fire sprinklers. It takes 155 Deg. F. to activate residential fire sprinklers. This dope smokers head would need to be on fire before it would activate.

Major Fire Sprinkler Save! The fire was put out by the sprinkler system at the transformer and on-site personnel, he said. The transformers are located around 300-400 feet away from the reactor. Emergency sirens in the area did not sound following the incident.
