Per did not leave us a novel. He left us the three things that actually matter.
Showed up when we said we would. Left the site the way we found it. Made the whole thing easy to be part of.
That is not a high bar. But you would be surprised how many solar companies clear it on the technical side and completely miss it on the human side. Wrong dates, messy job sites, zero communication after the contract is signed.
We installed 18 panels on Per's standing seam metal roof connected to a full battery storage system. The home is still grid tied but the game has changed. When the grid goes down the system islands automatically and keeps the lights on. And every night the EV charges off the battery bank instead of pulling from the utility. Solar produces during the day, battery stores it, car charges overnight. The grid is a backup now, not a dependency.
The roof came out clean, the system is running, and apparently we were a pleasure to work with.
