Congratulations to Deanna Barth on receiving the Keep San Benito Bonito Award!
Deanna was recognized for her dedication to removing litter from San Benito County roadways and public spaces, helping protect wildlife and inspiring others to take action.
Her passion for litter prevention began at just 16 years old after volunteering at a wildlife center, where she witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of trash on animals. As Deanna shares, "Fishing line and hooks cause the greatest number of injuries each year, but yogurt cups, glass jars, balloon ribbon, and even string can be just as deadly."
