From our client: "...three weeks ago today we had an even larger litter than last time with frozen semen from my Bulldog. This time we had NINE beautiful puppies – five girls and four boys, all healthy and strong! So with our litter of eight last December and this nine, that makes 17 puppies from TCIs using frozen semen!"

Full circle moment - the semen was frozen in 2009 by us and then used for TCIs in 2025 & 2026 at our office!

What is Transcervical Insemination (TCI)?

TCI is a non-surgical breeding procedure that can be performed using fresh-collected, fresh-chilled, or frozen semen.

During the procedure, an endoscope is used to visualize the cervix through the vaginal canal. A flexible catheter is then passed through the cervix to deposit the semen directly into the uterus.

Because TCI is a non-surgical procedure, it can be a less invasive option than surgical insemination while still providing excellent pregnancy rates with appropriately managed breedings.
