Employee Spotlight: Meet Dava Jo!

She is a Project Manager and Electrical Specialist at EUDS Consulting who brings a unique blend of technical expertise and heart to every project she takes on. Since joining the team in 2019, she has worked closely with electric utilities and local governments to document disaster recovery expenses for federal and state reimbursement.

Whether she's helping communities rebuild after the 2022 Eastern Kentucky floods—a region close to her heart—or connecting with clients across Kentucky, Dava thrives on learning and supporting others. Over the past three years, Dava has worked closely with officials in Perry County, Kentucky, supporting their recovery efforts following the 2022 floods. She is currently assisting several electric cooperatives across Kentucky, Tennessee, and North Carolina in their recovery from the impacts of Hurricane Helene.

At EUDS, we specialize in helping communities and utilities navigate engineering challenges and the complexities of disaster recovery. With over 50 years of combined experience, our team is dedicated to providing expert assistance in the following areas:

• FEMA ASSISTANCE: Guiding clients through the Public Assistance Program to secure funding for emergency expenditures and recovery efforts.

• DISASTER RECOVERY: Offering technical support as FEMA subcontractors, delivering essential services across the United States.

• HAZARD MITIGATION: Assisting in applying for and managing FEMA Hazard Mitigation Assistance grants and other funding sources to reduce long-term risks.

• ENGINEERING SERVICES: Providing in-house electrical engineering solutions, including feasibility studies, utility relocation, substation design, and more.
