A big thank you to Brock Craddock with Craddock Pest Control for sharing his 10 minute presentation with us this morning at BNI.
Brock focused on some of the most common questions homeowners have about pest control, including whether treatments are safe for children and pets, why people sometimes still see bugs after a treatment, and why recurring service is often recommended.
One of the biggest takeaways was the importance of properly identifying the pest before deciding on a treatment plan. Brock explained that many over-the-counter products are applied at much lower rates than professional treatments and often fail to address the source of the problem. He also talked about bug bombs and condensed his thoughts to a single statement statement: "Oh please no."
One of the more memorable moments from the presentation came when Brock described part of his work as "regicide." He shared that when dealing with colony insects, effective pest control isn't just about eliminating the bugs you can see. The real goal is disrupting breeding cycles and getting to the source of the infestation. Once the queen is gone, the colony's days are numbered.
Brock also explained why recurring treatments are important. Products naturally break down over time, different pests become active during different seasons, and regular service helps interrupt breeding cycles before they become larger problems.
We appreciate Brock taking the time to share his knowledge with the chapter this morning. His passion for helping homeowners protect their homes and families was evident throughout the presentation, and we're thankful to have him as part of our BNI chapter.
