Meet Caitlin Ann Farthing, who joined AMRestore in 2018 as an art restorer and is now our Supervisor of Art. Caitlin holds a dual Bachelor of Arts in Material Culture Preservation and Art History from the University of Delaware and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of the Arts.

With over a decade of experience in art preservation, Caitlin's meticulous attention to detail and commitment to understanding each piece she works on ensures the best possible outcomes. Her careful and thoughtful approach honors the original intent of the artist, earning her the trust and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.

When a family hosted a professional Russian KHL player almost 30 years ago, he left them with fond memories and hockey memorabilia including an autographed jersey. This painting was covered in a layer of soot and drywall debris from a fire loss. There was also damage to the ornate gilt frame. The restoration included surface cleaning the painting, cleaning the gilt frame, and recreating the many lost plaster decorations.
