The Adams County Commissioners will hold a public auction beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025 at the Adams County Department of Emergency Services for the following five (5) county-owned vehicles and one (1) piece of equipment. All vehicles will be sold “As Is”, to the highest bidder, with no warranties, express or implied, as to the condition of the vehicles. The vehicles are located in the parking lot adjacent to the Adams County Department of Emergency Services, 230 Greenamyer Lane, Gettysburg, PA. Beginning Monday, October 20, 2025, any inquiries and to make an appointment to inspect the vehicles and the piece of equipment, should be directed to Larry Steinour, Director of Building & Maintenance, during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) at 717-337-9825.

1) 2014 Ford Escape FWD 4 Dr – Sterling Grey Metallic – 182,580 Miles

Known defects include, but are not limited to: Violent shaking, we believe is the transmission when you get around 30MPH. ABS light would not go off, sensors replaced. At one time, starter replaced, battery replaced, flex plate replaced, gaskets replaced; needs battery

2) 2016 Chevrolet Equinox – Dark Blue – 101,313 Miles

Terms of the auction will be cash, money order, or cashier’s check. All successful bidders will be required to remove the vehicle on the day of the sale or on or before 3:00 p.m. by Friday, October 31, 2025. The County reserves the right to reject any bid that is received.
