I attended the Ribbon Cutting ceremony for the new City Hall for the City of Glendale.
It was in this newly renovated space that 4 years ago I was presented the City's First Juneteenth Proclamation.
Signed by the then and still is Mayor Jerry Weiers - Glendale, AZ .
The Proclamation was announcing that June 19th would be in the City of Glendale recognized as JUNETEENTH.
It was therefore my honor to have the Proclamation included in the time capsule that will be opened during the City's 150th birthday which will be in 2060.
What a joy to have my Community Efforts acknowledged by the Mayors Office and its my honor to be an example of how far the 6th ranking largest City in the State of Arizona as come.
