National Demographics Corporation

National Demographics Corporation Since 2001, NDC has completed over 365 local government districting and redistricting projects. Not even one has been overturned by a Court or the US Dept.

National Demographics (NDC) provides demographic analysis, redistricting assistance, and public opinion surveys to states, local governments, and to the people and businesses who interact with them. of Justice. The firm takes pride in community empowerment: our favorite projects are when a map drawn by a resident (using the empowerment tools we provide) is adopted. We regularly have 10, 20, 30 or 40 maps drawn by residents in our projects.

2026, that's a wrap!

NDC's Douglas Johnson, Shalice Tilton and Jeff Tilton had a magical time at the Disneyland Hotel connecting with so many municipal clerks representing California cities and special districts.

Many thanks who stopped by our conference booth to learn about our innovative Project 2031, NDC's initiative to prepare cities and counties for the forthcoming decennial census.

Let’s keep the conversation going!

Attending the CalCities Annual Conference this week?

On Thursday at 2:45pm please join us as NDC President Douglas Johnson participates in a panel to discuss recent developments in the California Voting Rights Act law and lawsuits.

Here is the official description and panelists, and the session qualifies for MCLE credit:

"The California Voting Rights Act (CVRA) continues to evolve, particularly following the California Supreme Court’s decision in Pico Neighborhood Assoc. v. City of Santa Monica. This session will examine key legal questions surrounding standards of proof in CVRA litigation, the status of active cases, and the implications for cities navigating at-large and district-based election systems. Panelists will also discuss recent developments, including the 2024 FAIR MAPS Act, and explore what options remain for cities evaluating their obligations under the law. Attendees will gain insights into the legal landscape and strategies for addressing election-related challenges.

Speaker: Sheri Damon, City Attorney, Seaside
Douglas Johnson, President, National Demographics Corporation
Christopher Skinnell, Partner, Nielsen Merksamer, LLP
