What is a Private Utility?
Private utilities may include but are not limited to: Gas, Water, Electric, Sewer, communication, underground storage tanks Etc. Safe Site Utility Services is a one-stop-shop for your all of your utility location needs. Safe Site can locate and mark all underground utilities & Structures.

Public utilities are usually maintained up to a demarcation point such as a meter, tap, junction box, transformer, valve, etc. Utilities owners (811 One Call Members) receiving locate requests will typically locate only to those demarcation points. Excavators should contact a private utility locator to locate and mark the private utilities in the area.

Safe Site has added another tool to its arsenal to greatly enhance our productivity in asphalt and concrete coring. This gas powered, 17 horse unit can core 10 to 14" diameter plugs up to 18" thick in a matter of minutes. This allows us to open utility test holes in roadways very quickly so that we can confirm multiple utility locations and get off the roadways in much shorter time. This self contained unit also allows Safe Site to offer coring as a stand alone service to our clients at a very competitive price.
