A homeowner called us after buying a hot tub from Costco—curb delivery only. They needed the old tub removed and the new one installed, filled, and running for their Airbnb.

At first glance, it sounded simple. It wasn’t.

The existing spa was boxed in—stone walls on two sides and a pool on the third. No access. A crane? Not an option—power lines and a 120+ ft reach killed that idea fast.

Then we uncovered more:

* Old tub: 110V plug-and-play
* New tub: 220V, 50 amp GFCI, #6 THHN wiring

First step: demo. We removed a 3-ft high, 7-ft long wall down to the footer just to create access.

Once we got the old tub out, we found it sitting directly on dirt—likely the reason it failed.

We leveled the area. Homeowner brought in a paver company for a proper 7’x7’ pad. Electrical from the main panel was good, so we corrected the run from the subpanel to the spa.

After everything was ready, we came back, set the new tub, and did what we call “wire and fire.”

Up and running.

They left us a 5-star Google review—always appreciated.

At the end of the day, it’s just a tub that blows bubbles and heats up… don’t go crazy.

We recently worked on a Strong Spa that, on paper, is actually a solid unit — powered by a 3 HP Executive 56 pump and motor, equipped with Balboa controls, and loaded with 50 jets. Plenty of power, good flow, and a great overall design.

But here’s where things went sideways…

Every single jet was leaking. All 50 of them.

The issue wasn’t the shell, plumbing layout, or equipment — it came down to one thing: poor-quality gaskets used by the manufacturer. Over time, they failed across the board, turning what should be a premium hot tub into a maintenance nightmare.

So instead of patching a few leaks and kicking the can down the road, we went all in.

We removed all 50 jets, completely cleaned and prepped each opening, and replaced everything properly. No shortcuts. No band-aid fixes. The goal wasn’t just to stop the leaks — it was to make this spa better than it was when it left the factory.

Now?
This tub is solid. No leaks, strong performance, and built the way it should’ve been from day one.

This is a perfect example of the difference between factory assembly and real-world craftsmanship. When it’s done right, these tubs can be incredible.

If you’ve got a spa that’s leaking around the jets, don’t assume it’s junk — sometimes it just needs to be rebuilt the right way.

One of our most recent repairs involved a leaking slicer valve—and this is where experience really makes a difference.

My approach is simple: minimize cuts, maximize reliability. Instead of cutting out sections of hose or PVC and adding extra fittings, I carefully remove only the faulty part. Using a heat gun, I warm up the glued areas, and with a little patience and persuasion, I can separate the old component without damaging the surrounding lines.

Once removed, I clean everything up and install the new part—whether it’s a slicer valve or diverter valve—right back into the original space. The key advantage? All hoses, lines, and connections remain the same length. That makes the repair cleaner, faster, and far less prone to future leaks.

Every time you cut a line, you’re creating another joint that has to be glued—and every joint is a potential failure point. I choose to eliminate that risk whenever possible. After years of doing it this way, most repairs like this take me under an hour, and to date, I haven’t had one come back leaking.

That doesn’t mean this is the only way—it’s just my way, built on experience and results.

Thanks for checking out the photos and videos. If you ever need help, feel free to reach out.

Today at Arizona Hot Tub Factory, we were hired for a simple move—from point A to point B… or so we thought.

When we arrived, the homeowner told us the final location wasn’t ready. There was a tree stump in the way, no concrete pad, and no electrical run. Most companies would’ve said, “Call us when it’s ready.”

Not us.

We told them we could remove the stump the same day (under 2 hours), connect them with a licensed electrician, and get them lined up for a proper concrete pad.

Game plan:
✔️ Stump removal
✔️ Electrical install
✔️ Concrete pad
➡️ Then we come back, set the spa, hook it up, fill it, and fire it up

Their response? “You’re a godsend. There’s no other company like yours in Arizona.”

April 1, 2026 — Another one for the books.

We got a call to remove an in-ground hot tub that’s been sitting in this backyard for over 30 years. The homeowner told us they spent more than a month trying to find someone—anyone—to take on the job. Every company passed.

They even considered trying to track down a leak and repair it. I was honest with them—on these older in-ground units, leak detection and repair can turn into a never-ending (and expensive) guessing game. I told them I could try… but it might not be worth it.

A little later, they called back and said:
“Can you just remove it?”

We gave them a price.
They asked how long it would take.

“Less than a day. Start to finish. Full cleanup.”

And that’s exactly what we did.

These are the jobs most companies avoid—but they’re the ones we specialize in.

Went out to fix what should’ve been a simple hot tub leak—normally, it’s a quick gasket replacement and you’re back in business.

But this one took a turn.

The homeowner decided to tackle it first (and apparently skipped watching SpaMan on YouTube). Instead of tightening the nut—which likely would’ve solved the issue—he went all-in with epoxy… and covered everything.

The problem? Once that epoxy set, it locked everything in place solid as a rock. No way to turn the nut, no way to properly seal it.

At that point, the quick fix was off the table. The only option left was replacing the entire heater tube assembly just to get things sealed correctly again.

If you look at the “before” picture, you’ll see exactly what I walked into.

The good news? About 45 minutes later, it was fixed the right way—filled up, running strong, and leak-free.

The purpose of a hot tub’s Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) is to protect people from electrical shock.

Here’s how it works in simple terms:
A GFCI constantly monitors the flow of electricity in the circuit. If it detects even a small imbalance — meaning electricity is escaping somewhere it shouldn’t (like through water or a person) — it instantly cuts off power to prevent serious injury or electrocution.

In short:
⚡ Purpose: Safety.
🛑 Function: Automatically shuts off power if an electrical fault occurs.
💧 Why it matters: Water and electricity don’t mix — the GFCI makes sure a minor fault doesn’t turn deadly.
