I love when couples creates their own special moments for their wedding day that makes the day really showcase their love story.

Jack + Aly decided to have a coffee date to share their vows together before they got ready. It was such an intimate moment to share together, and a nod to the many coffee dates they enjoyed together. (Fun fact, Jack owns a coffee shop in LA!)

It was the perfect way to start their wedding day. And we love these moments!

Thought I would start this reintroduction how most wedding toast start. So…

“FOR THOSE IF YOU WHO DON’T KNOW ME”…I’m Candis Press. The owner and lead videographer of Press Films. I have been in the wedding industry for around 15 years now. I have always had a passion for cinema and filming from a young age and I love being able to use my passion to help people capture one of the most important days of their lives.

It’s hard to even put into words the complex feelings from this past week. My heart is breaking for our many friends, colleagues and businesses who have lost everything. But i am also feeling immense gratitude for the firefighters and their families that have been working tirelessly. It may take a long while for our city to recover, but we will be doing our best to help our community and friends in the meantime.

What do you need to know about the girl behind the films… hmmm…

My name is Candis. I’ve been in the wedding industry for 15 years. I’m currently obsessed with k dramas, phantogram, and please feed me all the noodles and pasta.

My love for films started at a young age. I’ve always been obsessed with the movies, and the way a story and music could come together to make you feel things that lived with you long after you saw them. And that’s always my goal in a wedding film too.

As we head into what we in the industry call “wedding season”, I’m really excited to be a part of so many beautiful people’s special memories.

I was recently asked by a client what I would say my videography style is. And honestly it took me a second to answer. Because I could say documentary style or cinematic and storytelling and vintage. But that doesn’t mean as much. We are more emotionally driven than that. We love being inspired by our weddings and clients. We love stylish, slightly untraditional, super fun and happy weddings and couples. Because then it makes capturing the day and editing so easy. So if you are looking for a videographer who shoots from the heart, and doesn’t send out an edit unless it makes me laugh or cry, then I’m your girl!

ONE STEP AT A TIME.

This is my motto for 2024. I don’t share too much of anything that could be “negative” on this platform. Which I do for a reason, but then it can seem like I live a charmed life. Full of pretty things and only the good moments. So let me tell ya…the way 2023 has wrecked my confidence and worn me down is something… but I know I’m not alone in this. I know it was a hard year for most. And we all need to give ourselves a little grace right about now. So I’m happy to have a fresh calendar year to get a better start. One step at a time.

Goals for this year: fun new offerings to reinspire me. More quality time with my loved ones. Learning to truly rest when i need it and push myself when i need it. And not be hard on myself if i don’t accomplish this perfectly. Because I’m taking it one step at a time.
