WHY HELLO THERE!

I guess it’s been a minute. I’ve been a little MIA from social so it’s time to reintroduce myself. I’m Candis, owner and lead creative at Press Films!

This year is the year of “yes,and”. I’m about to turn 40, and I’m enjoying my family, travel, my friends, concerts, and fostering kittens. And of course lots and lots of weddings!

Thought I would start this reintroduction how most wedding toast start. So…

“FOR THOSE IF YOU WHO DON’T KNOW ME”…I’m Candis Press. The owner and lead videographer of Press Films. I have been in the wedding industry for around 15 years now. I have always had a passion for cinema and filming from a young age and I love being able to use my passion to help people capture one of the most important days of their lives.

A few of my current favorite things: K-dramas, live music, thrifting, traveling and quality time with my friends and my cats.

It’s hard to even put into words the complex feelings from this past week. My heart is breaking for our many friends, colleagues and businesses who have lost everything. But i am also feeling immense gratitude for the firefighters and their families that have been working tirelessly. It may take a long while for our city to recover, but we will be doing our best to help our community and friends in the meantime.

What do you need to know about the girl behind the films… hmmm…

My name is Candis. I’ve been in the wedding industry for 15 years. I’m currently obsessed with k dramas, phantogram, and please feed me all the noodles and pasta.

My love for films started at a young age. I’ve always been obsessed with the movies, and the way a story and music could come together to make you feel things that lived with you long after you saw them. And that’s always my goal in a wedding film too.

As we head into what we in the industry call “wedding season”, I’m really excited to be a part of so many beautiful people’s special memories.
