The 30-year fixed rate ticked higher this week as renewed Middle East tensions pushed oil prices up, reviving inflation worries. Even so, most forecasters still expect rates to stabilize rather than climb sharply further, and purchase demand has remained resilient -- a sign buyers are adjusting rather than pulling back from the market.
