We exist to support deep, meaningful relationships with sweet correspondence. Idea Chíc is independently owned and created by David and Julie Sandusky with an employee ownership model in development. We design and make greeting cards, gifts, and custom social stationery — right here in Glendale (Denver), CO, since 2009! All printing, bindery, and related equipment (including our 1930’s letterpress, Hazel!) are kept in-house in the Idea Chíc stationery shop, design studio, and workshop to ensure high quality, excellent service, and fast delivery. We've started collecting mailboxes and hanging them at Idea Chíc. This could turn into an obsession!

Two of them will be where we keep your letters. We have subscribed to be an official Letter-Keeper as part of The Sunday Letter Project - a worldwide writing initiative with a pen-pal network where writers correspond shop to shop, keeping your home address private.

In Denver, we can be your return address for your pen-pal letter writing.

We learned about this project from two different guests at the shop. Both visiting from out of town. Knowing our mission, it's a lovely fit so after that second person mentioned this project, we quickly subscribed to be a Letter-Keeper.

We've introduced our weekly newsletter to the network and have details here at the stationery shop. It's fun to see the shops in the network, some we know well!

25 years ago today we were packing our bags and prepping to fly home to Denver from our little beach house in La Jolla, CA. Our wedding day was approaching. September 22nd is our silver anniversary!

On the morning of 9/11 it was no longer about us. The opposite coast, our country and the world was top of mind.

In a few days, however, we had a flight out of San Diego booked but air travel was not happening. We rented a car to drive home for our wedding. On Thursday morning, we were on the first flight out as that morning as it was the first day we could fly again. Boarding the plane and not knowing anything was hard. We took off. I don't think we ever canceled the rental car.

Our wedding was a blessing to get everyone together. Our friends and family still talk about our wedding and we're grateful.

To think 25 years later this young couple would be running our sweet stationery brand and boutique together would have helped make everything better at a time when the future seemed so uncertain. We now know that we can get through anything, together. We all can, together.

This gift wrapping was done for a baby shower. Our guest at Idea Chíc wanted something unique. In lieu of ribbon, she selected a pink ceramic heart dish and felt heart we have at the shop. These embellishments become a gift in themselves. They're attached securely and can be removed clean.

While we have a local to Denver stationery store, we are shipping e-commerce and wholesale orders daily. Shipping daily for many years and ZERO product damage.
