Last year this large cottonwood, directly over our friends and clients shop, was struck by lightning during a storm.
They said he was in the shop when it happened, and I can only imagine how terribly loud that was.
Today, we came out and removed the dead lead, which was no easy task due to the wind and having zero areas to be able to rig heavy limbs. Meaning, we had to handle each piece and assure it makes it only to our drop zone and no where else.
These challenges keep us sharp, on our toes, and a bit intimidated lol.
As always, we're so fortunate to get to know and work along side the excellent, hard working folks of our communities.

Monday evening TreeBees we're called by our neighbors!

We got a phone call from one of our awesome neighbors about his branch failing from the wind and hanging by a thread. We were able to climb up, set a lowering line, and remove the limb safely without causing any damage to their property.
Now, these things do happen, but never without cause. You can see in the extra pictures that the branch had horrible attachment, and severe inclusion, which makes it a weak point, very prone to failure.

Awesome canopy in this mature Silver Poplar tree.
It takes up almost the entirety of the backyard!
Tree Bees crew got to reunite with an old arborist friend of ours and help him get the tree at his newly bought home safe and sound!
With a safety minded, and pre planned approach we climbed into the Canopy and removed all the large dead, broken and hazardous limbs from years past, some being lowered down directly over and past the garage and service drop to ensure ZERO property damage.

TreeBees were called out about a large limb that had failed and nearly took our our clients, and their neighbors fence! It was hung up and barely hanging on by a thread when we got there.
We setup a quick rigging point, lower device, and got it down with 100% control so that nothing was damaged.
Glad we could help out the kind young folks living here!

96 degrees, no breeze, no shade.

This large, majestic Cottonwood had a large amount of hazards hanging through out the Canopy, over their roof, after not being maintained for years.
As you can see in the 2nd picture, our Bucket truck (67' reach) didn't even come close to the tops. That's where skill, determination, and grit come into play. It's not easy by any means, but we love it, no doubt.
2 days of planned work, finessing the Canopy.
It's not a matter of making the aesthetics of this monster appealing, but rather to educate and ensure the safety of the kind folks living here, and to maintain the health of something so large and incredible for years to come!

Jobsite for removing topped trees from 5-6 years ago. Please please please, don't ever top or have your trees topped, that only made conditions much more dangerous for the homeowners and their children, the utility, and the neighbors. It turns out, trees are capable of growing tall, as they should lol

We spent the last 2 days competing in the Rocky Mountain Chapter Tree Climbing Championship in Billings Montana!
Keith was 1 of 4 to represent Wyoming💪
Got to meet, and learn from so many great people and catch up with old friends.
It's been a blast and we look forward to competing again for next year!

Smooth, controlled, predictable descent.

Tree Bees crew were asked to remove several dead trees hung up in the surrounding trees near a cabin and shed. This one in particular could not be felled directly as the the top was completely snagged.
Instead we had our very own Kaleb Clayson climb a neighboring pine, set rigging points, secure the main stem of the dead tree, and cut the top out so we could control its fall all the way to the ground!
A good safe and efficient way of handling hazardous trees, keeping things in check step by step.
