Special congrats go to Griffin Woodell, the 2022 Normandin Marketing Scholarship Award Recipient at Glens Falls High School. Griffin committed to UAlbany, and in his first season as a walk-on, just earned a full scholarship from UAlbany Athletics for his hard work on and off the football field. Congrats Griff, keep going hard buddy!

We’ve been very busy, with not much time to talk about things we’ve been up to lately but a post here to thank our friend and colleague, Joel Holden, Executive Director for Great Upstate Boat Show for the kind honor to open this year’s show. We’re not big award chasers, so this honorable recognition by Joel and the Board of Directors was a nice surprise. So appreciate being recognized by our colleagues at NYSPHSAA. Talk about class acts, WOW! Joe, Chris, Robert, and the entire team at NYSPHSAA are a world-class organization. In close working partnership with NYSPHSAA for over 30 years, there are so many amazing people (past and present) who’ve made this tournament such a successful tradition in Glens Falls. Kayla Herlihy and I have been honored to work with and learn from true masters of sports event management. Special thanks go to NYSPHSAA, our local GGFAACA committee, the City of Glens Falls, Cool Insuring Arena, Lake George Area Tourism, our media partners, sponsors, GF small businesses, strategic partners, and countless volunteers - it takes a village as they say! Due to the confidential nature of our business, we don’t talk about most of what we do. Throughout my life I’ve been very blessed to have formed relationships with so many people, from all walks of life. Athletics, music, business, philanthropy, and I guess, just trying to put some good in the world everywhere I go has led to meeting some really unique individuals. This past year, Eric Canori (aka “Lips”), an old buddy from my early high school years that I met skiing one day, reached out to me. Eric was a very shy, quiet kid who used to hang out with other mutual friends at social gatherings here and there. Always super nice and a really down to earth kind of a guy. I had hadn’t heard from him in years, and for those who don’t know, Eric once ran one of the largest underground ma*****na businesses that the FBI had never heard about for years until he was eventually caught, arrested, and sent to prison. Upon Eric reaching out to me, we had an amazing reconnection over lunch one day to discuss his troubled past, the healing process, and what he was going to do next to build a better future for himself from that point, forward. I was really taken back by the candid ownership of his actions, his story, as well as his strength and will to carry on; to turn such a negative life experience into a positive. So, instead of shunning him an outcast like most probably would have, I decided to reach out my hand to help him. Today, and I are happy to announce the official release of our friend, Eric Canori's memoir, PRESSURE. It's his life’s work and a real story about his deep search for love and acceptance. Normandin Marketing proudly handled the design of his book cover, photography, website, and is also pursuing a major book contract and movie licenses for Eric. Link in bio.
