I am a physician, clinical pharmacologist and behavioral neuroscientist with extensive experience in industry across multiple therapeutic areas. Currently I serve as Senior Medical Director at Aptinyx, where I lead the development of novel therapies for diabetic peripheral neuropathy and fibromyalgia pain. Previously I was at Alkermes leading several programs for bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Before that I was Senior Medical Director at Forum Pharmaceuticals Inc leading programs for Alzheimer’s disease and schizophrenia. Earlier, at Takeda, I led the US & Global Medical Affairs and Clinical Science departments for neuroscience. I led product development, registration, translational medicine, and life cycle management. I also served on multiple alliance teams with partner companies, and provided clinical guidance to business development and new product planning. I led clinical trial efforts which resulted in approval by the FDA for Rozerem for the treatment of insomnia. �I joined Takeda from Pharmacia in 2002, where I was Director, Clinical Pharmacology, responsible for design and oversight of first-in-human and POC in neuroscience. Prior to this I served as Medical Director, Arthritis, Inflammation and Pain and was responsible for design and oversight of multi-center clinical trials on COX-2 inhibitors for the treatment of acute pain and Alzheimer disease. I led the clinical program for Bextra in acute pain.� Prior to Pharmacia, I held positions of increasing responsibility across several therapeutic areas, mainly focused on clinical development of products in neuroscience, at Hoechst-Roussel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (now Sanofi-Aventis) and Bristol-Myers Squibb, Inc.�
