Construction Complete for Anchor Seal’s New Facility
A new manufacturing facility has just been completed for Anchor-Seal, Inc.. The new state-of-the-art, 20,000 sq. ft. manufacturing plant and warehouse, featuring a steel beam framework and energy-efficient, foam-filled steel panels, is located at 54 Great Republic Drive, Gloucester, MA 01930. Current work force is 12 people, which is expected to grow to 20 within the next five years. The company expects the facility, located in Blackburn Industrial Park, to be in full operation on May 2, 2011. The new location will provide Anchor Seal with the ability to double the building’s size as needed in the future. Other residents of Blackburn Industrial Park include Varian Semi-Conductor, Gloucester Engineering and NOAA.
Anchor Seal was formerly based in Danvers MA. They obtained all the necessary building permits from the City of Gloucester in 2010, granted with a word of appreciation for investing in the community from Bruce Tobey, City Councilor, as well as the Fire Department’s acknowledgment, from Phil Dench, Gloucester Fire Chief, of Anchor Seal’s cooperation and compliance with all necessary regulations.
Anchor Seal manufactures and distributes to companies serving the electronics, proto- type, automotive, marine, construction, foundry / pattern, theme park, special effects, and architectural molding markets.
Anchor Seal’s product line includes epoxy potting and encapsulation for transformers, coils, power supplies and electronic components; flame-retardant compounds (SMD and SMT); thermally conductive potting compounds; marine laminating epoxies; concrete repair epoxy; and polyurethane potting and casting elastomers. They are a distributor for Silicones Inc. RTV-2 Silicone Rubber, prototype casting and molding silicones, color dispersions, CA’s and mold releases.
