Be safe when digging this spring and summer. Give Discovery Underground Locating a call 757-810-1598 for all you private utility locating. Remember Va811 will locate all your public utilities but they do not locate your private utilities. Dock lines, wells, septic systems, pet fence, sprinkler systems, power going to detached garages or out buildings, pools, and lighting are some types of private utilities.

There are only 25 days until daylight savings time begins. That means spring is right around the corner, longer days and more daylight to start all your yard projects. If you are going to be digging be sure to give us a call to locate your private underground utilities.

Once you have contacted Va811 to locate your public utilities contact us to locate your private utilities.
It can be confusing as to what is a public utility and what is a private utility. The rule of thumb is public utilities runs from the street to the meter Va811 will located it and it is a public utility owned by the utility company. If the utility is installed from the meter to another location on your property it is a private utility owned by you and will NOT be located by Va811.
So before you dig contact us @ 757-810-1598 to insure your private utilities are not damaged.
