This month is especially exciting as September marks the opening month for Five Star Afterschool Academy. We are honored to welcome Ms. Tee at the beginning of this new chapter and look forward to watching her vision come to life.

Five Star Afterschool Academy is dedicated to providing children and families with a welcoming, positive, and enriching environment where children can learn, grow, build friendships, and shine. With programs designed to support families throughout the community, Ms. Tee is bringing her passion for children, education, inclusion, and community connection to Madison County.

What a fantastic turnout for the SmallCakes Ribbon Cutting!

The minute we walked through the door, we were greeted by the most delicious smell of fresh cupcakes — and it only got better from there!

Victoria and her team at SmallCakes are serving up so much more than cupcakes. Be sure to check out their cheesecakes, cookies, ice cream and all kinds of sweet treats!

And we had an extra special guest join us — GPD K9 Boujee! 🐾 Since it was National K9 Appreciation Day, The Honorable Colleen Wise made sure Boujee got in on the celebration and treated her to her very own pup-cake!

This is what it’s all about! ❤️

When we started Kidz Biz, we wanted it to be more than just one day. We wanted these young entrepreneurs to make connections, gain confidence and hopefully have doors open for them along the way.

When Robin Covington – State Farm Agent had a conflict and couldn’t have her table at Unwind this year, we immediately thought about our Kidz Biz entrepreneurs. Robin graciously agreed to sponsor Elise’s Candle Company, who will now be joining us at Unwind!

And now she’s on the FRONT PAGE of the Madison County Journal! How exciting is that?!
