🇺🇸 We Remember.

Today, we pause to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the heroes who courageously answered the call, and the families whose lives were forever changed.

May we never forget the bravery, sacrifice, compassion, and unity shown on that day and in the days that followed.

From all of us at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Homes, we remember and honor them today and always.

In Honor of Chief Donald Lovell

August 25, 1940 – August 20, 2026

A lifetime of service. A legacy of dedication.

Chief Donald Lovell devoted a meaningful part of his life to law enforcement, serving his community with honor and commitment. From the young officer standing beside his patrol car to the respected man remembered by family, friends, colleagues, and community, his years of service became part of the legacy he leaves behind.

It was only fitting that on his final journey, Chief Lovell was once again accompanied by law enforcement, leading his funeral procession in a moving tribute to one of their own.

Thank you for your service, Chief Lovell.
Your watch has ended, but your legacy will live on.

Chief Donald Lovell

Can cremated remains fly? In most cases, yes—with a little preparation before your journey.

When traveling with a loved one’s cremated remains, it’s important to understand TSA requirements, airline policies, and any additional documentation needed for international travel. Taking the time to prepare ahead can help make an emotional journey a little easier.

At Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Homes, we’re here to help families navigate every step with care and compassion—even when that journey takes you far from home.

Different journeys. Same love. Further places.
