The biggest thing holding most PTs back? It might not be what you think. đź‘€

Great conversation with , creator of Smart Success Healthcare, on what separates clinicians who simply treat patients from those who build something much bigger.

Greg has spent years helping healthcare professionals think differently about business, opportunity and what’s actually possible in this profession.

My dad has always been one of my biggest inspirations.

Not because he’s given me some perfect blueprint for life, but because I’ve watched how he’s chosen to live his.

My dad is a quadrapelegic. He’s been through so much adversity and there are so many things he has to rely on other people for every single day.

But if you met him, you’d never hear him feeling sorry for himself.

He’s positive. He’s grateful. He loves talking to people. He loves making people laugh. He genuinely gets joy out of lifting other people up.

And I think that’s one of the biggest lessons he’s taught me.

You don’t always get to choose what happens to you. But you do get to choose how you show up through it.

My dad can’t physically walk, but his walk is his talk.

I’ve learned more from watching the way he lives than I ever could from something he told me.

Resilience. Patience. Gratitude. Community. Being present. Asking for help when you need it. Trusting other people. Not being afraid to delegate. And continuing to find joy even when life looks completely different than you thought it would.

He could have allowed what happened to him to make him bitter.

Instead, he gave our family hope.

He made sacrifices. He kept showing up. He stayed optimistic. And he showed me that losing something doesn’t mean you have to lose yourself.

A lot of who I am as an entrepreneur comes from watching him too.

The resilience to keep going when things are hard. The importance of people and community. The ability to stay grateful when things aren’t going your way. And understanding that you don’t have to do everything yourself.

I talk a lot on this page about growing clinics, entrepreneurship and building something meaningful.

But so much of the person behind all of that was shaped long before I ever started a business.

It was shaped by watching my dad.

Love you Dad. ❤️

Full schedules shouldn’t be seasonal.

If your clinic is packed one month and struggling with openings the next, the problem usually isn’t the quality of your care.

It’s predictability.

The strongest clinics build patient acquisition systems that consistently generate demand, track where new patients are coming from, and adjust before schedules start slowing down.

We’ve seen it across physio, physical therapy and multidisciplinary clinics throughout North America.

Stop reacting to slow months.

Build a system designed to keep schedules full year-round.

Most clinic owners don't need to work harder.

They need a business that doesn't rely on them for everything.

The goal isn't to become the busiest therapist in the clinic—it's to build the systems, team, and leadership that allow your clinic to grow, even when you're not treating patients.

That's exactly what we dive into on The PT Growth Podcast.

Every episode features conversations with successful clinic owners and industry leaders who share what's actually working to build profitable, scalable healthcare practices.
