On Tuesday, March 3, the newest Artspace in Colorado is having an open house. Located in the Colorado Springs Downtown Creative District, the project is designed to support artists, graduate students, and creative workers while strengthening the cultural vitality of the District as a whole. Artspaces provide affordable multifamily live/work housing and commercial space for retail and galleries, making them one of the most exciting initiatives supporting Colorado’s creative communities and enhancing economic vitality in towns and cities across the state.
Artspace Projects, Inc. has a team with a winning track record and partnered with many entities, including dovetail solutions' client and general contractor Bryan Construction on this project.
The Colorado towns of Trinidad, Ridgeway and Loveland have successful Artspaces and have proven that it takes a village of funders, visionaries and leaders to make these projects successful. Artspace Colorado Springs grew out of a grassroots effort led by the Colorado Springs Downtown Development Authority (DDA) to create a permanent home for the city’s creative community. This is a model of true collaborative partnerships. Bravo to the whole team who helped to make it happen!
