🇺🇸Before there was a national TV special, we would sometimes make videos of Dec’ the Deployment® outreach projects we would do. Check out this video created in 2018 when our Founder United States Air Force veteran Katelyn Tinsley was pretending to be a host on a TV show…Who would have ever thought it would lead to actually inspiring one?!✨

🎨Did you know that every outreach project we design across all of our brands has been completely unique, mostly handmade, and primarily created by using the art of up-cycling alongside a community of volunteers? 🙌The service members and families who reach out to our programs for help; participate and put their own personal touches on creating their homes. The creative outlets we facilitate help those to better cope through difficult life transitions.

❤️For Dec’ the Deployment®, we show up with handmade holiday treats 🍪 , a boom box of holiday music playing 🎶 and our Camaraderie in CHAOS support team. It is a holiday program that delivers the feeling of the season to many who may not be feeling it at all.

🎁For 7 years we typically provided in home personal support to 7-12 struggling service members and military families each holiday season. We integrate in old personal traditions that are shared with us, and also inspire some new through community . It has been shared with us multiple times that the best part of the program is having someone available to reach out to for an outlet that comes with conversations— and a community ear just to talk to, and also listen.

🎥The holiday special, Homefront for the Holidays, is airing on cable TV all weekend. We are hopeful someone at the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) sees the meaning behind the programs we started and the importance of scaling outreach programs to help so many more across the joint forces. 🥁 “Forward, MARCH!” 🥁 🇺🇸Marching in the military to cadences and music boosts morale and camaraderie! When you enlist into the armed forces learning to march in-step can often be a challenge that is fun to learn with rhythmic steps and chants. When a unit comes together in a military parade to march, you can visibly see unity in a group of people coming together to form a team.

🎄Nutcrackers and Toy Soldiers have become a fun representation of the holiday season. When we designed one of the Dec’ the Deployment® homes in the TV special for a dual serving military family, we made sure to bring that tradition alive! It took eleven people to bring these DIY Toy Soldiers to life. Through team-building, parts were assembled, screws were attached, and buttons were painted. 🎨 For us, creating toy soldiers for a military family symbolizes the act of service and sacrifice we are so proud to honor through all of our programs.

🇺🇸 🎥Video Sneak peek! Check out this Fox Business feature on our holiday🎄TV Special! All the feels are in the show and so are a few of our programs! Homefront Room Revival™ is the community❤️ behind the innovative brand of programs at Camaraderie in CHAOS™. Our company went through a re-brand this last year in an effort to scale our package of programs across the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) after having to close our studio experience on base when it got stuck in red tape. Through our mission we facilitate ‘self-care for the mind like a gym is for the body’™ in human connection centers and with intentional outreach, empowerment, community building and the creative arts. The holiday TV special is inspired by our annual Dec’ the Deployment® outreach program bringing holiday spirit 🎄 to service members and military families who are in need of a sense of community, and some extra holiday cheer.

✨ 💥We collaborated with a high-end interior designer on this project and it’s a feel-good holiday home makeover show for the whole family. We are so grateful for all the volunteers and our local community who came together to help support us in this🎬 experience! A huge special shout out to the Wayne County Museum Historical Society for donating us a beautiful architectural space to make into our holiday headquarters for the studio environment to come back to life.

🇺🇸 We are partnering with Blue Star Families this week celebrating military families as so many new families transition into new communities. There are different projects going on across the country all week long we encourage you to check out (after you watch this super 😎 video of us)!

👀 If you checked out our stories yesterday, you may know we shared a sneak peak of washi-tape wall art 🦕 being created in one child’s room of the last house we revived for an Ariman and single dad in need 🇺🇸. We empower our community through our programs by creating a sense of camaraderie in our studio that goes back to the first day when we started it in the garage…can you believe it? That was 6 years ago!

💥 Our creativity runs deep and we make use of the most random things through up-cycling!♻️
For this project we repurposed Park Designs placemats into decorative pillows, embroidery hoops into wall art and also recreated a dresser donation that was given from one of our fellow military families (who also participated as a volunteer for this project)!

Our outreach projects showcase how previous participants of our programs keep coming back to pay it forward to another in need. This is part of our culture and one of our favorite pieces of the program💪🇺🇸

💥 Before the doors of our studio closed on base at Seymour, we spent the last month busy going out with a bang! We took on a Curb Alert 🚨 project where we worked alongside an Airman in need. With a studio full of military volunteers and prior outreach clients with open arms to give back; we transformed a whole house with bare walls into a furnished home 🏠 for a single dad. This is Part 1 and there is more to come!

🇺🇸 Every military story is different and no outreach project will ever look the same. Our innovative services have filled in a deficit for our military community by providing a different outlet for support that doesn’t exist in the system. The studio environment creates a welcoming place for intentional outreach with an open door full of organic connections that are personal, and in person. Through collaborative team building we have aided service members and families going through difficult transitions in military life with a community full of open arms to help, as well as listen.

💡Seeing genuine connections happen at our studio continuously proves why having a unique space like this is so important in the military. It allows our fellow military members and families to come in and cope while being creative in an approachable self-referral program. This project, as well as many others, was made possible over extended lunch hours. A time frame best suited for a retreat into an outlet for creative resilience and self care. At a place where you (could) find many hands and hearts willing to help a fellow wingman in need better connect through camaraderie, and community. 💪

💔Goodbyes hurt when the mission is not finished and the studio has been closed… 🎥video below👇 of when we first were given keys to the Seymour studio…

🇺🇸Three years ago we moved into a facility on Seymour Johnson AFB with the intention of achieving a proof of concept model for programs that could grow. Over the last three years on base we have connected thousands of people to new friends and resources as we have built an innovative program based on a new culture in a creative community.

😞Last week, we sadly closed the doors to our Homefront Room Revival studio due to red tape in AF policies and multiple failed attempts at getting the programs picked up for sustainment.

We appreciate everyone’s support in our mission and continue to seek innovative ways to bring this invaluable, innovative and unique capability of our programs to Airmen and families across the force 💪 .
