We’re still buzzing from the energy at IDEACon 2026 in Schaumburg! Earlier this month, the VIVO team had the privilege of connecting with the incredible educators who drive innovation in Illinois and across the Midwest.
As a proud partner of Illinois Digital Educators Alliance, our goal is simple: to provide the tools and support teachers need to create dynamic learning environments. Nothing brings a team together quite like good food and a little friendly competition. We hosted our Chili Cook-Off and the turnout was great. From savory to spicy, our team brought their A-game (and their crockpots!). This was a great way to connect, recharge and enjoy some incredible cooking from our talented team. A little over a year ago, our team at VIVO faced a critical emergency when a colleague suffered a cardiac arrest. The response was immediate and heroic: several team members performed CPR while another retrieved our Stryker AED. Because of their fast action and the accessibility of lifesaving technology, our colleague’s heart was restarted before emergency services arrived. Today, we are incredibly grateful to have him back at work with us.

To honor this success story, we recently participated in Stryker’s Forward Hearts program. When a layperson successfully uses a Stryker AED to save a life, the manufacturer donates a new AED to a non-profit or community organization of the survivor's choice. Last week, we were honored to present a new AED to Tyler Ramsey at Titan Fitness Center in El Paso, Illinois. While we hope this device is never needed, we are proud to help make the community a safer place.
