A little over a year ago, our team at VIVO faced a critical emergency when a colleague suffered a cardiac arrest. The response was immediate and heroic: several team members performed CPR while another retrieved our Stryker AED. Because of their fast action and the accessibility of lifesaving technology, our colleague’s heart was restarted before emergency services arrived. Today, we are incredibly grateful to have him back at work with us.
To honor this success story, we recently participated in Stryker’s Forward Hearts program. When a layperson successfully uses a Stryker AED to save a life, the manufacturer donates a new AED to a non-profit or community organization of the survivor's choice. Last week, we were honored to present a new AED to Tyler Ramsey at Titan Fitness Center in El Paso, Illinois. While we hope this device is never needed, we are proud to help make the community a safer place.
