Yarbrough Fire Department is currently on a Texas County strike team assisting Cimarron County with their fires.

On Friday around 8:00pm, Yarbrough Fire Department responded promptly to a lightning strike fire in the vicinity of mile 4 and county road U. The department utilized all three fire trucks and the our tanker in the response efforts. In addition to our trucks we also had responding units from all other ten departments in Texas County. Along with multiple road graders, tractors with plows, and county tankers. We are very grateful for everyone who assisted yesterday and would like to say thank you to all.
