Stop. Think. Verify.

Scammers are constantly finding new ways to trick consumers. Before clicking a link, sharing personal information, or sending money, stop and verify the request. When something feels suspicious, trust your instinks and contact the compant directly using a phone number or website you know is legitimate. Take time to verify and confirm sender information.

Be cautious of unexpected tests and emails claiming to be from Amazon, your bank, a delivery company, or another familiar business. Don’t click suspicious links or provide personal information through a text.

⚠️ Amazon Smishing Texts ⚠️

We’ve been made aware of an increase in fake text messages claiming to be from Amazon. These messages may say there’s a problem with your account, an issue with a delivery, or that you’ve been charged for an item you didn’t order. Their goal is to trick you into clicking a link or sharing personal information.

🔒 Protect yourself by following these tips:
• Don’t click links in unexpected text messages.
• Never provide passwords, banking information, or verification codes through a text.
• Verify your Amazon account by opening the Amazon app or visiting Amazon directly through your web browser—not by using the link in the text.
• Delete and report suspicious messages.

If you receive a text that seems suspicious, trust your instincts. When in doubt, go directly to the company’s official website or app to verify the information.
