Jotul North America Manufacturer of quality cast iron and steel wood and gas stoves, and fireplace inserts. Jøtul North America was founded in Maine in 1980. since the early 1970’s.

The parent company, Jøtul AS, was founded in Norway in 1853; Jøtul stoves have been imported in the U.S. In the mid 1980s Jøtul North America was a pioneer in the gas hearth products market in the U.S. with its freestanding gas room heater. In 1998, Jøtul North America's Maine facility began the final assembly of the product line of gas room heaters distributed by the parent company. In addition,

Jøtul North America is responsible for the design and manufacturing of multiple wood and gas products and sells over 30,000 wood and gas units annually. The current face of Jøtul includes a full spectrum of high-end stoves and fireplace inserts, from the steadfast, often-mimicked traditional Norwegian cast iron designs to cutting edge contemporary units, all constructed with a keen eye on quality craftsmanship and maximum efficiency through Jøtul's clean burn technology. Recently, Jøtul North America had the pleasure of participating in dealer events hosted by two of our Canadian distribution partners, Compact and Coval.

These gatherings gave us the opportunity to connect with the dealers they serve, discuss products, answer questions, and share the craftsmanship and innovation behind the Jøtul brand. They are also a great reminder that Jøtul is more than just stoves—it's a community of passionate distributors, dealers, and customers who appreciate quality craftsmanship and the warmth of a fire.
