Bienvenido activities have continued these last few months and we're engaging with communities in Columbus, IN, Frankfort, IN, Omaha, NE, Phil's, PA, Norristown, PA, and leaders from New Jersey about the Bienvenido Program. We're super excited for the Bienvenido facilitators in Columbus, Frankfort, and Omaha as they have launched Bienvenido groups within the last few months.
In recent months Bienvenido Community Solutions has started to volunteer with Indiana AID to visit ICE detainees at a detention center in Indiana. Bienvenido group exercises are being done with the guys that are detained. Our hope is that through the group sharing of stories and life experiences our friends who are detained will strengthen their resolve and have positive mental health.
A big thanks to all of you for your continued support of immigrants in your community. Keep in going with the ways you offer support and solidarity to those that need help. Bienvenido Community Solutions will continue to offer training and support to Bienvenido facilitators and communities.
