The Goshen Fire Department congratulates our Chief of Training, 1st Assistant Chief Danny Graham, for being recognized as the 2026 EMS Educator of Excellence by the Orange County EMS Council. Chief Graham is one of the lead instructors for the Orange County EMS Education Division, and coordinates vehicle extrication and technical rescue training for all EMT students. He also serves as the lead instructor and program director of EMS for the Orange County Police Academy. Congratulations Chief!

The Goshen Fire Department extends its congratulations to Firefighter Niko McPhee on his graduation from the 218th New York State Police Basic Academy. Pictured are Trooper McPhee and his brother, Goshen Firefighter and US Army Combat Medic Connor McPhee, as well as their mother, District Treasurer Tanya McPhee. Thank you all for your service to our community, New York State, and our country. Congratulations Trooper McPhee and stay safe!

Today is the mock disaster demonstration at Goshen High School. All participating agencies are involved in a coordinated drill alongside many community groups, highlighting the real-life impact and dangers of driving under the influence.

At approximately 11:55am on 04/22/26 the Goshen Fire Department was dispatched for a reported tractor trailer vs. building on Hatfield Lane. Shortly after being dispatched Orange 911 Communications updated the assignment, stating that the driver was pinned inside the truck. GFD units arrived on scene and confirmed the driver was still in the vehicle, but was removed shortly after and turned over to Goshen EMS. Goshen Fire Department crews immediately conducted a primary search of the building and truck, and confirmed there were no other victims. Gas and electric utilities were shut down to the building to prevent any further hazards. The truck was checked for any leaking fluids or other hazardous materials with negative results. Goshen FD requested 1 rescue each from Chester Fire Department and Silver Lake Fire Department, as well as the Orange County Technical Rescue Team. Goshen units went back in service at approximately 1:15pm. The scene was turned over to the Village of Goshen Police and the Village of Goshen building inspector.
