Well deserved from this incredible team!

🐾 Congratulations to Deputy Luke Solomon and K‑9 Enzo! 🏆

Deputy Solomon and K‑9 Enzo earned 1st Place Overall at yesterday’s USPCA Region 7 K‑9 Certification, demonstrating exceptional proficiency, control, and teamwork throughout the event.

USPCA Region 7 brings together K‑9 teams from across New York and Connecticut to test the advanced skills required of today’s police K‑9 units. This year’s results highlight something we are incredibly proud of: the top three K‑9 teams in the entire Region were all trained — and continue to train — at the Orange County Sheriff’s Office K‑9 Training Facility. It’s a testament to the high standards, professionalism, and quality of instruction our program consistently delivers.

Deputy Solomon and K‑9 Enzo exemplify the dedication and readiness that define our K‑9 Division. Their achievement reflects countless hours of training, commitment to excellence, and service to the residents of Orange County.

Sheriff Paul Arteta said,
“Deputy Solomon and K‑9 Enzo’s first‑place finish is another example of the exceptional work coming out of our K‑9 training program. The fact that the top three teams in the Region train right here in Orange County speaks volumes about the professionalism of our instructors and the dedication of every handler and K‑9 team. We are proud of the standard they set for agencies across New York and Connecticut.”

Congratulations once again to Deputy Solomon and K‑9 Enzo on this outstanding accomplishment. Your hard work continues to set the bar for K‑9 teams across the region.
