GIC and the city of Gothenburg are still actively working with the folks from the Meadowlark Project to bring the fertilizer plant to life here. Joshua Westling, founder and CEO of J Westling & Co., testified on Capitol Hill last month and was featured in this RFDTV news story.

Unlike facilities focused on merchant ammonia, Meadowlark would convert its on-site ammonia into UAN and sulfur-containing ATS fertilizers used by regional crop producers.

The GIC annual meeting is in the books for another year. It's always great to look back at accomplishments and challenges from the year and talk about the projects we'll tackle in the months ahead. Today's presentations focused on the efforts to improve housing availability and the fertilizer plant that hopefully will get the green light soon to break ground.

It seems like such a long time since we announced a fertilizer plant would be built here. Many "invisible" processes have been going on in months since the Meadowlark event. We are grateful that the "visible" processes will begin soon.

It was way back in June of 2023 when Project Meadowlark was first announced. However, we have yet to see much activity happening at the site where construction is planned

We had a GREAT time as presenters at this conference! Collaboration doesn't happen by accident, and we were grateful to get to share Gothenburg's recipe for success.

The CEC conference was held in North Platte, NE from April 23-24.
