📢 Important IRS Processing Update

The IRS is currently running a controlled testing period before tax season officially opens on January 26.

What this means for you 👇🏽

• Some returns may be sent to the IRS starting January 14
• IRS confirmations may take longer than usual during this period
• Returns are not processed on weekends during testing
• Refund advances will only be issued after the IRS accepts your return

Please note this is a normal part of the IRS rollout and short delays are expected while systems fully open.

📌 No Tax on Overtime Explained (2025 Returns Filed in 2026)

Under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, eligible taxpayers may be able to deduct qualified overtime pay on their federal tax return starting with the 2025 tax year.

Here’s what that actually means 👇🏽

✔️ This is a tax deduction, not a change to your paycheck
✔️ Only the overtime premium counts (the extra pay above your regular rate)
✔️ Overtime is still subject to Social Security, Medicare, and state taxes
✔️ There are income limits and annual caps

💡 Many employers may not separate overtime premium on W-2s yet, so payroll records or pay stubs may be needed.

🚫 Common mistakes to avoid
